The Copper Spur HV UL2 is Big Agnes’s best-selling, full-featured, ultra lightweight backpacking tent for two people.  
The Copper Spur has been redesigned (latest and current model), with new features inside and out, using proprietary materials that are lighter, stronger and newly equipped with hardware that makes set-up even easier.

TipLok Tent Buckle
Our proprietary corner construction on the Copper Spur HV UL series is built around the TipLok Tent Buckle™. To simplify your tent setup we’ve combined three functions into one mechanism. The secure pole-tip capture won’t release your pole tip during setup, streamlining the process especially if you are setting up solo. The rain fly attachment and tensioner plus the stakeout loop are included to create a trouble-free setup trifecta!

Vestibule Awnings
Shade spot, chill zone, couples therapy….vestibule awnings are an option to pitch on your Copper Spur with trekking poles or accessory tent poles and stabilize with extra guy lines (extra guy lines included). Customize your tent life whenever the mood strikes.

Fly and floor are silicone treated proprietary ultralight double rip-stop mixed denier nylon with 1200mm waterproof polyurethane coating

NEW proprietary tent corner construction with unique TipLok Tent Buckle™ to streamline tent set-up by combining three functions: secure pole-tip capture, rainfly attachment and tensioner, and stake-out loop. Keyed hole buckle locks pole tip securely during setup, hinged design stabilizes structure by equalizing force between tent body, rainfly, and ground stake.

NEW proprietary ultralight nylon double rip-stop, mixed denier fabric offers extra tear strength and puncture resistance without adding weight.

NEW pre-bent span pole with 4-way high-volume hub design  increases strength, stability, and shedding.

Why do I need a Footprint? — The Big Agnes Footprint offers greater protection for the underside of your Copper Spur tent on rocks, gravel and gritty, sandy or rough surfaces. The footprint takes the wear & tear instead of the tent floor which could add many extra years to the life of your tent. The Footprint helps to keep your tent clean in muddy conditions. The Footprint can also be used as a ‘mini-tarp’ which can be laid out on wet grass for picnics, wrapped over rucksacks or other gear to keep them dry, or strung up between trees to provide a rain shelter or to provide shade on hot days.
