Editor’s comments: Versatile is the word. For cooking use any pot lifter including MSR lightlifter for a handle and aluminium foil for a lightweight lid.
Being stainless steel it won’t crack under duress, even at very cold temperatures. After years of service it might be a bit dented and tatty, but it is still not going to let you down.
