FAQ:  What is the difference between the Xtherm NXT and the Xtherm NXT MAX?
The Xtherm NXT and the Xtherm NXT MAX are the same thickness and have the same R-Value.
The Xtherm NXT has rounded corners and a slight taper from the middle to the foot end.  This can be seen best in the birds-eye view image above. The reduction in material employed means the Xtherm is the lighter option with a smaller pack size.

The ‘MAX’ version is rectangular with square corners and no tapering. The pack size is greater and there’s a weight penalty, but some people prefer the larger surface area.
